Zero Visibility in NAIA

Seven International and 18 domestic flights were diverted to Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) in Clark, Pampanga, Mactan International Airport in Cebu and Iloilo International Airport because of zero visibility in Ninoy Aquino International Airport runway due to heavy rain.

According to NAIA gene ral manager Melvin Matibag, international flights that were diverted includes Emirates airlines from Dubai, Cathay Pacific from HongKong, Hawaiian Airlines from Hawaii, Singapore Airlines, and 3 from Philippine Airlines coming from Macau, Thailand and Japan.

The local flights included 6 from Philippine Airlines via Cebu, Bacolod, Duma guete, Zamboanga, Tagbilaran and Tacloban, also 6 domestic flights coming from Cebu Pacific via Iloilo, GenSan, Caticlan, Cebu, Dumaguete, and Tacloban. 2 each came from AirPhil Express, Zest Air, and SeaAir.
