A suspected leader of the New Peoples Army who allegedly masterminded the ambush of an election convoy in Compostella Valley that killed five people including a poll watcher dead falls in the hands of the AFP.

Months ago, the government has already announced that there will be peace talks between the communist rebels and the government in order to end on of Asia’s longest communist rebellions.
