Gibo Advocates “Rule of Law” in Case of 43 Arrested Health Workers

Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr., presidential bet of Lakas Kampi CMD, supposes the government should be determined in managing the case of 43 community health worker detained by the Philippine Army last February 6 in Morong, Rizal. Hpwever, it is ardent that this insistence should be supported on the “rule of law” to certify equality to all the persons involved.

“The former defense secretary carries an unshakeable belief and commitment in favor of the rule of law, in this case, charges should be filed based on hard evidence to ensure that no rights are taken for granted,” said lawyer Mike Toledo, Gibo’s spokesman and head of the G1BO 2010 Media Bureau.

Free Legal Assistance for Teachers on Poll Duty

It’s about time to give something back to the brave teachers who will serve in the upcoming May 2010 national elections.

Great news for all our beloved teachers!

A memorandum of agreement (MoA) has been inked between the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) to make their commitment official to provide legal assistance to public school teachers, free of charge who may be encountering legal suits in the performance of their election-related responsibilities.

Recently assigned Education Secretary Dr. Mona D. Valisno stated that there have been occurrences during elections where teachers, in the performance of their election duties, are mistakenly charged of misconduct and are unjustifiably faced with legal suits.

Gibo Recommends Energy Sustainability Plan for Mindanao’s Power Crisis

Lakas-Kampi-CMD frontrunner Gibo Teodoro paddled once more for a 25- to 50-year energy sustainability preparation to put a stop to a recurrence of the power crisis battering Mindanao and other regions of the country at present.

Gibo stressed out before a thousand students and leaders of nongovernment organizations (NGOs) present at the presidential forum at the Ateneo de Davao University. The forum tackled about the urgency for a multisectoral concord on ordering innovative or existing power barges and escalating the power producing capability of industrialized users by letting giant companies to bring in their own generators on a tax-free basis.

Gibo Stresses the Need of Capability Advancement for AFP

The nation’s security is one of the major concerns the government should deal with. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at present is competent enough with regards with skills and intelligence. However, Philippine troops lack lots of things and advancements that will totally help in sustaining peace and order, and cementing the security of the country.

According to Lakas-Kampi-CMD frontrunner Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr., the AFP cannot “realistically” modify owing to its focal duty of giving internal security to over 7,000 islands in the archipelago.
