Cavite Representative Crispin Remulla requested an immediate investigation for the P250-million sweetheart deal between the Arroyo government and Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino’s family. This is for the overpriced P33-billion Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) project.
According to Remulla, the Arroyo goverment agreed to pay right of way into 83 hectares of Hacienda Luisita amounting to P100.00 per square meter wherein the regular rate should only be P6.00-P8.00. Due to it, the government paid P83 million to the Aquino family plus the additional P170 million for the road interchange in the middle of Hacienda Luisita.
