FG no show at Senate hearing

Former first gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo did not appear at the Senate yesterday but instead challenges his accusers to file a case against him.

Arroyo, accused for selling second hand helicopters to the Philippine National Police as brand new, used health problems as his excuse not to attend the Senate inquiry.

“Let us now go to court. Because in the courts, we have rules, like rules of evidence, which can be accepted, which are fairy tales. Only the courts can determine the guilt of an accused. Our Constitution guarantees the innocence of a person until proven guilty,” Arroyo said thru his lawyer.

Several witnesses against the former first gentleman appeared in the hearing such as businessman Archibald Po that presented more evidences to support his claim that FG was the owner of the helicopters sold to PNP in 2009.
